Child First or Renewal Passport application - aged 16 and 17 years (PC8)
The Australian Embassy in The Hague is now accepting child first and renewal passport applications (aged 16 and 17 years) by in person interview.

You will be prompted to create an account. The site will ask you a series of questions to direct you to the correct application form.
The application must be lodged within six months of completion.
Print your application on plain white A4 paper, using black ink only.
Sign using black pen, within the signature box. Make sure there are no alterations or whiteout on the signature or the date.
Children 10 years or older must provide a signature unless there is a medical reason or disability that prevents them from signing.
Two identical colour photos, less than 6 months old, with your full name written on the back of one of the photos. Refer to photo guidelines for the Australian standards.
Do not attach the photos to the application or use a paperclip as this may damage the photo.
A guarantor must sign section 11 of the application form and endorse the back of a passport photo by writing ‘This is a true photo of [the applicant’s full name]’ and signing in black pen.
There are two types of guarantors you can chose from - A current Australian passport holder or A non-Australian who is currently employed in a particular occupation group. Refer to Passport Guarantors page for more information including approved occupations.
Parental consent is required for a child application. Everyone providing the consent must sign section 15 of the form in front of a witness.
Ensure that the names in section 13 A&B & 14 A&B are not left blank.
- The child’s full birth certificate
- Evidence that the child is an Australian citizen
- Documents that prove any change of name. If the current names of either parent are different to what appears on the childs birth certificate, include the original documents that explain the change of name.
- Any court orders and additional passport forms we require to establish who has parental responsibility for the child
- Identity documents showing parent’s photo, signature, and current residential address
Documents presented as part of your passport interview must be originals. We are unable to accept certified copies.
Passport services are held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 0900 and 1200hrs by appointment only (with the exception of public holidays).
You must bring your application form, original supporting documentation, and passport photos to the appointment.
At least one parent should be present for the interview. Children aged 16 or 17 have to come with you when you lodge their applications.

You pay the fee when you lodge your application at the interview.
Fees are payable in Euro (€) and can be made with a credit or debit card, or ‘Dutch’ pin card. We cannot accept American Express, or cash.

Upon payment your application is sent to the Australian Passport Office.
Due to a high demand in passport applications, it is advisable to lodge your passport application as soon as possible and in considerable advance of any planned travel.
Current processing times are a minimum of 6 working weeks from the lodgement of a complete application and payment of applicable fees.
